A Home Bathed in Light
Originally enclosed with few openings to the garden, the house was redesigned to bring in natural light and create fluidity between indoors and outdoors. Sunlight now highlights textures, natural materials, and thoughtful details, giving the home a warm, breathable atmosphere.

Opening the Heart of the Home
The kitchen became the focal point: walls were removed to open it toward the garden and pool, and a bar-style counter encourages connection. Handcrafted zellige tiles from @mosaicfactory in deep green, travertine flooring from @cupastone.pt, and wooden furniture from @ikeaportugal bring texture, warmth, and durability.

Respecting Original Charm
Original arches were preserved, complemented by sage green doors painted with @farrowandball and brass handles from @dauby_nv. Oiled parquet in the bedrooms adds softness and longevity, while original plaster walls keep their authentic tactile character.

Thoughtful Layout & Functionality
The staircase was highlighted as a central feature. The entrance was reorganized with a discreet social WC, and bathrooms were redesigned for comfort. The former shared bathroom became a cozy ground-floor suite, with zellige tiles tying the kitchen and bathrooms together.

Natural Materials, Timeless Elegance
Wood, stone, and brass create continuity throughout the home. Indoors and outdoors flow seamlessly, with the terrace, summer kitchen, and renovated pool enriched by wicker and wood touches.

Balancing Past and Present
The renovation honors the home’s original identity while adding contemporary comfort. Travertine, zellige, wood, and brass come together with refined details to create spaces that feel natural, warm, and timeless.
